Our Staff
 Marla began The Harding Group as a brand new Comprehensive Accounting Services franchisee with exactly zero clients in 1995. She had been working for Andersen Consulting (now called Accenture) in Tysons Corner, VA when the long hours and the long commute inspired her to start her own business in Annapolis.
Marla has a degree in Computer Science, and a Masters in Business Administration. She was a medevac helicopter pilot in the National Guard and retired in 2004 with 20 years of military service.
She lives in Arnold with her husband, son (age 16), daughter (age 11), 2 dogs and 3 cats.
Ken joined us in 2008 with about six years of tax preparation experience. He has a degree in Accounting as well as an Masters in Business Administration. Besides preparing taxes, Ken handles some payroll write-up work for some of our more complex aaccounts.
Ken is a lieutenant in the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. He is here with us at the Harding Group three to four days per week.
Ken lives in Severna Park with his wife and two sons (ages 8 and 1).
 Julie has been with The Harding Group since 2001. She has a degree in Chemistry and a Masters in Business Administration, but she is willing to work as a bookkeeper for us because of our great clients! (Well, the fact that she gets a good chunk of the summer off might also be a factor.) Julie is responsible for payroll and write-up. She also does a great job for the clients who come to us with years of bookkeeping to catch up on. Julie handles all of our Maryland Personal Property returns and also helps on the individual tax returns.
Julie lives in Millersville with her husband and 3 children, the oldest of which is away at college in Pennsylvania.
 Nina came to us in 2007 with four years of individual tax preparation experience and a couple of years of bookkeeping experience. She is responsible for payroll, accounts payable and bookkeeping as well as individual taxes.
Nina is a native of this area. She lives with her daughter (age 11) and her fiance. Her oldest daughter (age 18) is in college in Florida.
 Lisa came to us in 2007 from the Comptroller of Maryland, so, of course, we we give her all the Maryland issues to sort out for us. She handles payroll, accounts payable and write-up work, as well as the set-up of retirement plans. She is also responsible for all the administrative and compliance issues associated with our investment services.
Lisa lives in Severn with her husband and daughter (age 13).
