The Harding Group provides financial and tax support to local small businesses in the areas of Accounting, Bookkeeping, Taxes and Payroll Support. We take the time to get to know you, your business, your issues and your goals. As a result, we are able to cater our efforts specifically to your needs. Our staff is committed to open communication with our clients at all times. Someone on our staff will answer the phone personally when you call – and make sure you talk to the right person you need to in order to get your questions answered. Unlike most accounting firms, we won’t charge you for email or phone questions. We want to work with you – so we encourage interaction. And we value integrity in all services we provide, which means we do what we say we’re going to do.

Marla Lahaye enjoyed working at Andersen Consulting, but the daily commute was leading to a work-life imbalance. So she decided to start her own business closer to home. In 1995, she opened The Harding Group to provide tax and accounting services personalized for small businesses. Nowadays, that extra time lets her give more attention to her clients – and her family.

Safeguarding and minimizing risk are not new to Marla. She served as a medevac helicopter pilot in the National Guard, flying Huey and Blackhawk helicopters before retiring with 20 years of service.

Marla has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Vermont and an MBA from the University of Wyoming. She lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her husband, daughter, two dogs and three cats.
